FUNDAMENTALS OF MAKEUP ARTISTRY

Phase I

3 to 5 WEEKS


Description of Phase I


The student will learn the education behind Makeup Artistry. An educated MUA will stand out from the other self proclaimed MUA's by being knowledgeable about the Industry, Sanitation Rules and Color Theory. Student have fun recreating Makeup Artists/Client scenarios when they master Communication and Consultation, See skin conditions layers beneath the surface in a skin analyzer when you learn the Basics of Skincare Plus so much more....

Description of Phase II


After a week off between Phases I & II the student will have a day of review and then immediately start learning the Techniques used by Pro-Artists all over the world.

Von Loudon will guide you thru step by step application Techniques around the anatomy.

The Institute of Makeup Artistry is a place of creative learning. We make every effort to touch on each subject listed above. However, do to unforeseen circumstances the curriculum may change. Also, classes may extend over the 24 weeks, not to exceed 26 weeks. It is crucial that students make every effort to attend all scheduled classes.  Do to unforeseen circumstances occasionally class times and dates may be rescheduled or a substitute instructor will facilitate the curriculum set forth by their original Instructor. Field hours are posted at the school or sent out via email, text or social media. It is not the responsibility of the Institution to schedule the students and IMUA can not be held liable if a student fails to participate in Field Training. Field Training may consist of event set up or tear down, executing special projects, assisting in the application of makeup, organizing fashion shows, magazine shoots, commercial shoots or participating in events created by one of our sponsors. IMUA encourages the students to participate in at least 20 hrs. of Field Training. However this is not mandatory
